Grand Knight Report:

New members Chris and Juan introduced themselves; thank you those who helped with in-person degree, it was a success; pope canonized new saints, church held youth lock-in for event on September 6, council provided pizzas for 140 kids; trilingual rosary every Thursday after 8am mass; state raffle is coming up, more info next month; with music bingo fundraiser Scotty raised $1000

 

Bills and Communication:

$270 for youth lock-in pizzas

 

Membership Report:

Lots of new members, two of them present at the meeting

Program Director:

Fr Adriano asked to hold off on big breakfast indefinitely due to construction, might do monthly Saturday supper, but still looking into availability and ideas; will look into Pre-School Trunk R Treat; Christmas parade coming up on December 6; council added $500 to Scotty’s $1000 donation to lighthouse for the blind

Cor meeting tomorrow: Journey On The Sacraments; Fr McGivney novena ran August 5-13

 

Community Director:

Challenge 22 is Saturday November 15, more details at next meeting, motion to donate $200 from council passed, Grand Knight challenged members to donate and join walk

Religious education classes started, confirmation students need 10 service hours, will pass along any opportunities from the Knights; lots of confirmation students are looking for sponsors, encouraged knights to consider volunteering (contact Sr. Pat); looking to hold soccer challenge, will see if we can make it happen, State Soccer Challenge is Dec 6; looking for help with a family co-director

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Slavic Dinner on November 8 in honor of Bishop Ramza, let Hank know by next meeting if you’re interested; Special Olympic Opening Ceremony on November 14, welcome members to attend; just held installation of officers

 

Insurance Agent Report:

Looking for a new field agent, Alek has left the position, contact Rob Urrutia in the meantime

 

District Deputy Report:

$25000, $5000, and two $1000 prizes for raffle tickets, whoever sells wining tickets get prize money, council retains 40% of ticket sales; November 1st 11am 4th Degree Exemplification; Knights on Bikes going to Ava Maria Catholic Community; September 29 Blue Mass at St James Cathedral 12:00; prison ministry ride on October 11

 

Unfinished Business:

Former council Grand Knight Vince Samosky will be on the intention list for the Oct 19 10:30AM mass at RCC, his wife Janet plans to attend

 

New Business:

Looking to set up district degree team in conjunction with council teams; might split Tootsie Roll order with another council
