Best of luck to everyone with hurricane Milton, you can always reach out to Knights if you need any help; big breakfast on 10/13; COR meeting on 10/15; Biketoberfest on 10/19; trunk r treat on 10/30; Challenge 22 Ruck Walk on 11/2; national adoption day on 11/22; 4th degree exemplification on 11/30; Christmas parade on 12/7.

 

Bills and Communication:

No bills from supreme; stove needs repair ($1600), might result in October big breakfast being canceled.

 

Membership Report:

No new immediate leads, although George has spoken to some people.

 

Financial Secretary Report:

$473 from big breakfast, $156 cash and $437 charges from spaghetti dinner, $200 check from RSVP, $101 from previous big breakfasts, $255 dues; $500 donated to Resurrection preschool.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

July Balance: $11,370.21

August Receipts: $345

August Expenses: $260.83

August/September Balance: $11,454.38

 

Program Director:

Big breakfast hopefully happening this coming Sunday; national adoption day will need 5-6 guys for food service (breakfast); will look into trailer for Christmas parade.

 

Faith Director Report:

Election Novena will run 10/28-11/4.

 

Community Director:

The position is open; Br Rafael spoke on Biketoberfest, supporting St Vincent DePaul and Scalabrinians, on 10/19, need volunteers at 8 assisting with parking; this Saturday 10/12 will be doing procession from lake Apopka to church for Mary’s feast day; 11/16 motorcycle ride with blessing of the bikes and trilingual mass, looking to work with Knights on Bikes; Challenge 22 on 11/2, encouraging members to donate and show up to event in council shirts, will meet up as a group in front of American Legion hall, Br Vincent is taking charge of volunteers for helping run the event.

 

Life Director:

Mike brought “Vote No On 4” signs, Fr Adriano will deliver homily on the topic, Mike has been permitted to do Q&A session on 10/15 or 10/22 from 6:00-8:00.

 

Family Director Report:

Will distribute poster sized blank sheet to CCD students for Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest, looking for ideas for prizes, will need help for passing out forms and judging artwork.

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Bishop Ramza Slovak dinner November 17, $15 per person, $25 per couple at St. Nicholas at 1:00pm; November 30 is 4th degree exemplification at Resurrection, anyone interested in taking degree needs to submit form soon, will need help with setting up room and serving food 8:30-4:00; 2/20 in NYC celebrating 125th anniversary of 4th degree at St Patrick’s Cathedral, open for anyone who wants to go; December 18th is annual Sleuth’s Christmas dinner, cost is $61 per person.

 

Insurance Agent Report:

None

 

District Deputy Report:

Brought Columbian award for council for 2023-24 fraternal year; Blessed Sacrament is having live degree; if anyone needs help after hurricane hits, reach out to Grand Knight and he will pass information along up the chain; next state convention will not be in Orlando, but in Jacksonville.

Br Paul shared updates on his eye surgery, and how he inspired a friend of his to say the rosary for the first time in 50 years.
