Grand Knight Report:

Thank DD Vince for leading installation, especially due to last minute change, and thank you to all who attended; had special guest John Robertson in attendance; checked in on everyone to ensure they were safe from Hurricane Ian; movie about Mother Teresa produced by KofC is being shown tonight and tomorrow at 7pm at Epic, City Walk, and Disney Springs.

 

Bills and Communication:

We finally have a seminarian: Andres Sanchez, sending him $150 for the holidays.

 

Membership Report:

Still need to transfer in Fr Noe, Fr Hector, James Lovas, new member: Flavio Lobo.

 

Financial Secretary Report:

No bills from supreme; turning in $390 from dues, $130 from September breakfast, $30 from spaghetti dinner, $215 from raffle; wrote checks for American Legion and preschool from spaghetti dinner.

 

Program Director:

Big breakfast this coming Sunday, can show up as early as 6:30, will have youth group help with clean up, November 5 is hockey challenge, need help with setup and running event.

 

Faith Director Report:

Nothing

 

Community Director:

Have toiletries we collected to turn in for Veterans, will continue to collect at big breakfast

 

Life Director:

Phil Klinkenburg has taken the spot of Life Director, attended session on human trafficking w/ Grand Knight.

 

Family Director Report:

None

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Spaghetti dinner on November 5 here at resurrection 6:00-9:00, volunteers need to show up at 4:00; Phil became recorder for assembly; Will have the Christmas dinner at Sleuth’s on December 21, open to all members, not just 4th Degree, all members invited, $50-$55; Ronald McDonald House returned on August 27, next will be January 7th.

 

Insurance Agent Report:

October 28 holding a webinar at 7:30pm with special guest Joe Jordan

 

District Deputy Report:

KofC has two disaster trailers that have been put into action throughout Florida in response to Hurricane Ian; encouraged council members to participate in insurance programs/seminars

 

Unfinished Business:

If any members have state raffle tickets to turn in, do so ASAP ($5 per ticket); Challenge 22 event taking place on November 12, everyone is encouraged to register and participate; we will provide pizza for October 8 altar server training, will need assistance to hand out pizza at 11am; Christmas parade on December 3, Winter Garden in the morning, still waiting on confirmation for Ocoee, build will be Thursday and Friday, will have Youth Group participate, need donations of palm fronds.

 

New Business:

Looking to add sign up page to council website; October 26 is trunk r treat event, looking for volunteers; Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest is coming up
