Chaplain’s Message:

Read passage. Father is still learning things at Resurrection and catching up on everything. Thanked council for help with clean up on Saturday, eager to finish the job.

 

Grand Knight Report:

Proud of council, strong group of gentlemen, happy with turnout for meetings, encouraged all members to find at least one thing to participate in. Reminded council of procedure to speak up during meeting.

Knight of the Month for October is John Long.

 

Membership Report:

No new members to present.

 

Financial Secretary Report:

No bills, no money to turn in, still collecting dues.

 

Program Director:

No new events to report on.

 

Bills and Communication:

Nothing

 

Faith Director Report:

Remembrance rosary service planned for November 6 before 5:00 mass (starting at 4:30). Hank Abbot and John Long will lead the service. Encouraged a brother to step up and become assistant.

 

Community Director:

Not present.

 

Life Director:

Council needs a new Life Director is needed.

 

Family Director Report:

Not present.

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Will have in person meeting next week as well as installation of officers. Fourth Degree will have a Slavic dinner on November 13 for members and their families, but it might be canceled due to low responses. They will also take Fr Sal to Sleuth’s on I-Drive on December 16. Took catered dinner to Ronald McDonald house. November 20 will be a Thanksgiving Dinner, still seeking details on how that will operate.  4th Degree Ceremony will take place on November 27 at Florida Hotel, contact Hank if interested.

 

Insurance Agent Report:

Brian is planning an online fraternal benefits night on November 18 at 7:30pm.

 

District Deputy Report:

He has two training sessions canceled, and is still learning. Council is doing well, still needs to up recruiting efforts (everyone does). New system will be in place in January for changing status of inactive members. Bob Knof is the new District Warden.

 

Unfinished Business:

Looking to host a Third Degree at Resurrection in January. Will be helping at Trunk r Treat for preschool at 11:00 on October 27. Clean up went well, a lot was accomplished, but still have a ways to go, will need one more cleaning session, will take place on October 16 at 9am. Brother Ben got his hands on and donated an old trailer that will be used as the aluminum can recycle bin. Still coordinating location for soccer challenge. Application has been put in for WG Christmas Parade, step off is 10am, show up as early as 8am, December 4. Ocoee parade will not be happening. Big Breakfast might return on November 14. Mass at Miami ball park was successful, signed 4 new (Miami) members.

 

New Business:

December 11, 9am-4pm Special Olympics Golf Tournament at WDW, looking for volunteers, contact Scotty if you’re interested. Looking to hold adoration mass in new year.

We were asked for 2-3 volunteers to help award the winners of the Special Olympics Flag Football tournament on October 9th at 9:00am. Volunteers are needed at Dr Philliips High School from 10:30am-12:30pm.  Contact Laurie at 407-484-8308 or lauriechielewski@solf.org. Anybody who can represent our council at this wonderful event would be greatly appreciated!
