Grand Knight Report:

Past Monday was fraternal benefit night, two members participated, another scheduled for November 5th; still have raffle tickets available, $10 per book, $3 per ticket (12 tickets per book), $6 goes to state, $4 for council; baby bottle drive collected almost $5000; Special Olympics opening ceremony; Challenge 22; National Adoption Day biscuits and gravy; bocce tournament; degree ceremony on November 20; trilingual rosary every Thursday; COR meeting November 18

Rafael has some new members lined up

Treasurer’s Report:

September Balance: $8,542.67

Faith Director Report:

Memorial rosary service; COR retreat kit is coming out soon, will look into it; trilingual rosary weekly on Thursday after 8:00 mass; monthly Cor meeting

 

Community Director:

Looking for end of February or beginning of March for bocce tournament, will need as many volunteers as possible, $25 per person entry fee, $5 for spectators; October 18 had Scalabrini gala to raise money for center for immigrants; Christmas parade building will take place December 4 & 5 @ 10am, youth group will fill character roles, bring unopened gifts to December meeting; challenge 22 ruck walk is November 15, encouraging members to donate/participate, in need of 4 volunteers to help at 9am in front of American legion

 

Life Director:

$4944 (not counting coins) for baby bottle drive, still waiting for many of the bottles to be returned, will take change (200lbs) to banks to count; one-day retreat at Lake CI on Saturday, November 8th, expecting 30 inmates to participate

 

Family Director Report:

Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest will hand out late October/early November, submissions will be returned in time for December meeting, will need help distributing things to religious ed classes;Special Olympics state games are 14 and 15, need to sign up on sofl.org to volunteer; December 14 need volunteers for golf tournament

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Slavic Dinner on November 8 in honor of Bishop Ramza at 1:00pm, contact Peter by Wednesday if interested; next 4th degree is Jan 31 in Tampa; 4th degree in Feb or March, will be outdoors at night in St Augustine at Our Lady of the Leche

 

Insurance Agent Report:

Brian Laszuscky has been reassigned to the council as field agent

 

District Deputy Report:

Presented Council triple star plaque; Scalabrini gala, encouraged more participation from the council in events around parish; encouraged members to come to homeless breakfast service

New Business:

Looking to start program to send birthday and Christmas cards to council members to encourage getting in touch with missing members, will be led by Ernest; upcoming weekend is Catholic Charities weekend, encouraged members to donate
