Grand Knight Report:

Thank you to everyone who attended fraternal benefit night; thank you to all who participated in big breakfast, preschool trunk r treat, youth group trunk r treat, youth hockey challenge (2 participants), 4th degree spaghetti dinner, altar server training; be on look out for volunteer request from Fr Heitor to take down dry erase boards; looking to consolidate storage lockers to just one; submitted form to reassign Brother Hank as financial secretary; tomorrow is election day, reminded everyone to exercise their civic duty.

 

Bills and Communication:

Received request for donation for catholic appeal, we have made a donation of $250 in the past.

 

Membership Report:

We have Fr Noe’s number so will be transferring him in along with James Lovas and waiting on info for new member Flavio Lobo.

 

Financial Secretary Report:

Turned in $170 for raffle tickets and $265 for big breakfast.

 

Program Director:

Big breakfast this coming Sunday, volunteers can show up as early as 6:30. Christmas parade is next big event coming up: trailer is picked up at noon on 12/1, work will be 12/1 & 12/2, parade is 12/3, Youth Group will be populating the float.

 

Faith Director Report:

Rob Urrutia ordered a DVD copy of the recent Mother Theresa documentary for the council.

 

Community Director:

Turned in more glasses for donation at the Lion’s Club.

 

Life Director:

Challenge 22 with American Legion is coming up this Saturday; December 9 and 10 Special Olympics golf tournament at Disney Palm and Magnolia Golf Courses, contact Br Phil to be a part of the event.

 

Family Director Report:

Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest will be taking place.

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Held Spaghetti dinner on November 5 here at Resurrection 6:00-9:00; will have the Christmas dinner at Sleuth’s on December 21, open to all members, not just 4th Degree, $50-$55; Ronald McDonald House will be on January 7th; looking for guys to help out with Special Olympics on November 11 and 12; November 26 is 4th degree exemplification.

District Deputy Report:

None

 

Unfinished Business:

If any members have state raffle tickets to turn in, do so ASAP ($5 per ticket), we will be turning in our first 20 books; Challenge 22 event taking place on November 12, everyone is encouraged to register and participate; Christmas parade on December 3, Winter Garden in the morning, still waiting on confirmation for Ocoee, but appears to not be happening due to lack of info, build will be Thursday and Friday, will have Youth Group participate, need donations of palm fronds. We finally have a seminarian: Andres Sanchez, sending him $150 for the holidays.

 

New Business:

Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration is coming in December and Fr Noe has welcomed and encouraged the council to attend, more information will be coming via email; March 4 is Laps For Life event to raise money for ultrasound machines at Bishop Moore High School; encouraged brothers to attend mass to celebrate canonization of St John Baptist Scalabrini on November 19; the return of the council social was suggested to hold in January.

Prayers Offered:

Mary Matthews (is doing much better and outlived prognosis), all seminarians, particularly three from Orlando diocese, Robert Sacco family, members of Blessed Sacrament council for their 20-year anniversary, all veterans living and deceased.
