Chaplain’s Message:

Fr Tien joined the meeting part way through, he thanked the council for being present and part of the community, sharing with the church, showing the love of Jesus through our life, starting with the family, home, and work, through our service.

 

Grand Knight Report:

Thank you for coming to memorial mass; lots of events, St Katharine Drexel novena ended, fish fries coming except 4/4, 3/8 is an English Lenten Retreat, 4/26 is the youth event we’ll be helping with parking, Easter egg hunt on 4/27, sock hop might happen on 5/17.

Financial Secretary Report:

Treasurer’s Report:

None

 

Program Director:

Fish fry coming up, set up begins as early as 1:30, food service 4:30-7:00, then clean up; no big breakfast this month or next.

 

Faith Director Report:

St Katharine Drexel Novena just wrapped up, today is her feast day; Lenten retreat coming up 3/8, need volunteers, if enough members show up, can be Knights event; 3/18 COR meeting.

 

Community Director:

Upcoming bike ride on 3/8; looking into setting up Sock Hop, including deciding on recipient of shoe and sock donations.

 

Life Director:

29 inmates 11 inmates close to getting out of prison; Laps for Life just took place, waiting to hear how much money was made; grass roots effort has begun to defund Planned Parenthood, starting with protest on 4/2; thinking about when to hold baby bottles drive at church.

 

Family Director Report:

Will do easter egg hunt the week after easter (4/27) after 7:30, 9:30, and maybe noon masses, will need assistance with loading eggs (probably at next meeting) and conducting the hunt.

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Names are in for convention; last month had renewal of promises; Rob Urrutia and Bob Higgins observed new 4th degree in NYC at St Patrick’s cathedral; 4/26 will be next 4th Degree held in person in Florida.

 

Insurance Agent Report:

None

 

District Deputy Report:

On track for star council, get two more members for double star, get SP7 form submitted, state convention is coming up in Jacksonville; welcome everyone who isn’t to become 4th degree.

New Business:

Looking to play stations of the cross during fish fries or afterwards on side of building; St Baldrick’s foundation is holding shave event for raising money for Conquer Kids Cancer event on 3/15 at Crooked Can, council donated $135 from big breakfast, and passed bucket around for donations from members present.
