Chaplain’s Message:

None

 

Grand Knight Report:

Sorry that he was unable to conduct meeting, thank you for those who helped with Festa Junea; the council needs a new advocate, nominated Richard Madrid; the Silver Rose service is set for July 30 at 4pm, encouraged everyone to try to attend, we need one volunteer for reading at the service, Bob Vince volunteered; the council needs to schedule an induction ceremony, the Brockmans offered their house on October 1 to include family potluck; SP7 form has been submitted, the remaining needed forms will be submitted.

 

Bills and Communication:

J&J Gala will take place September 24, each table seats 10 and costs $500, they are also seeking volunteers.

 

Membership Report:

No new members at this moment, have some members who are transferring in and need to complete process; new priest Father Noe is a Knight.

 

Financial Secretary Report:

Bill from supreme for per capita advertising for $227; dues are due, Hank is accepting the role of financial secretary for one last time, will need to replace him in 3 years.

 

 

Program Director:

Looking to start breakfast back up in September, more details at next meeting.

 

Faith Director Report:

Silver Rose service will take place on July 30.

 

Community Director:

Len has returned and asked the council what areas in the community the council is interested in: return to collecting toiletries for veterans at November breakfast, warrior games (injured service men and women) are approaching and are looking for volunteers; Fr Schmitz talks on the Eucharist.

 

Life Director:

Still in need of life director.

 

Family Director Report:

None

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Brother Phil joined Fourth Degree; will have the Christmas dinner at Sleuth’s on December 21, open to all members, not just 4th Degree, all members invited, $50-$55; Ronald McDonald House returns on August 27; installation of officers will take place next month; KofC members cannot provide security services while representing council.

 

Insurance Agent Report:

None

 

District Deputy Report:

Region was divided in half, we now have new Regional Administrator; the audit is due by August 15; supreme has changed membership quotas, instead of 5% it is now 6% as long as it is in the 5-15 range; supreme is encouraging councils to host a corporate communion and participate in a Eucharistic procession; star council has changed; fraternal benefits form must be submitted by GK online within 7 days, 7 different people at each event; if you donate $500 to ASAP supreme will donate $100; Knight of the Month and Family of the Month (doesn’t have to be a council member); look into Delta Church Drive; deadline for all awards is March 31 for recognition at state convention; there is a membership workshop schedule online and membership director should speak at every meeting;, on 25th of month DD is to call all GKs and ask 5 Ws; Special Olympics is having NACAR race on august 27; new state logo is on website, everything else needs to be typed in arial.

 

Unfinished Business:

If any members have state raffle tickets to turn in, do so.

 

New Business:

Planning back to school spaghetti dinner on September 2.

 

Lecturer’s Reflection:

Discussion on process for burial of a pope.
