Grand Knight Report:

Two new members present, Caesar (seminarian) and Pio; thank you to those who participated in Novena For Life; big event coming up, One Church One Family, wants Knights to be present and encourage others to join; welcomed our new field agent Steve; need to hold election of convention delegates

 

Bills and Communication:

Request for $30-$50 donation for FL hockey challenge; encourage everyone to participate in $12 donation for 12 Apostles.

 

Membership Report:

Two new members present and working on one more who is planning on moving closer to area

 

Financial Secretary Report:

$385 turned in from big breakfast and donations

 

Program Director:

Big breakfast this coming Sunday, volunteers can show up as early as 6:30; One Church One Family menu ideas presented, decided on doing sliders that will be cooked in Hank’s motorhome, will need help, church is looking for extra volunteers on Friday 4-8 for setup; will adjust the pricing for fish fry dinners which begin on 2/24 to $7 and $12, will need all the help we can get, volunteers can arrive as early as 2:30

 

Faith Director Report:

Nothing

 

Community Director:

Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers

 

Life Director:

Laps For Life event on March 4 at Bishop Moore High School, will donate proceeds from big breakfast

 

Family Director Report:

Conducted Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest and winners were sent on to state level.

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Nothing

 

Insurance Agent Report:

Encouraged members to contact our new field agent Steve Pomellow, who introduced himself; fraternal benefits night with Ed Slott will take place on March 2 and a second one will take place in April; looking to hold a benefits night at Resurrection sometime after Easter

 

District Deputy Report:

Council is moving forward with all of its requirements; attended opening of St Faustina’s new building, which was very well attended; will need to provide greeters for supreme convention (first week of August)

 

Unfinished Business:

Last call for turning in raffle tickets; check sent to seminarian was cashed

 

New Business:

Elected delegates for state convention in May, Grand Knight and Deputy Grand Knight were approved, opened floor for alternates, Hank Abbott and Rob Knof were selected; received Insurance Founder’s award for 2019-2020; Presented rosary and KofC pin to new members

 

Lecturer’s Reflection:

Recommended we visit the Mary statue as a council as part of May meeting; Pope Francis is concerned conflict in Ukraine will spread and asked everyone to pray for peace

 

Prayers Offered:

Tom Lynch, Concepcion Santiago Escobar, Vince Samosky, all seminarians including Andre, RCIA candidates, youth who are making their confirmation, George Martin, Georgia Sstate Deputy Jim Clifford, Glory Ann, Debra DeHunt, Chuck Vince, military and first responders
