Chaplain’s Message:

Fr Hector sent glad tidings to council via Grand Knight.

 

Grand Knight Report:

Council has good relationship with Fr Hector, he has brought some requests to the council. Parish is asking for people to help around church, a part time custodian and someone to help with electrical concerns. Winter Garden Christmas parade was a great success, proud of how it all came together. It’s an honor to be a part of a council that steps up and does things in the community. Thank you to Ben and Phil for efforts in US Hunger Project. Thank you to Ben and Vince for storage area clean up. Thank you to those who participated in Fraternal Benefits night.

 

Membership Report:

Looking to bring a prospective members page to council website.

 

Financial Secretary Report:

$125 turned in for dues, $30 turned in as a donation, $147.72 bill for parade trailer.

 

Program Director:

Parade was last major event, nothing until new year.

 

Bills and Communication:

Bank statement, invitation to Russell Home for Atypical Children, helps children with disabilities, holding online gala and silent auction.

 

Faith Director Report:

Rosary Remembrance service went well, Life is Messy books in both English and Spanish have come in, all members are encouraged to take one, and can share them with any family or friends, books are in the parish office.

 

Community Director:

Nothing to share.

 

Life Director:

None, the council still needs a life director. Will find out who parish life director is.

 

Family Director Report:

Will hold Christmas poster contestfor children is parish, looking for judges.

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Several assemblies were present at Special Olympics at Wide World of Sports. The assembly provided KFC chicken at Ronald McDonald House on November 20. The assembly will hold its Christmas party on December 16 at Slueth’s. Vincent Gramaglia took his Fourth Degree.

 

Insurance Agent Report:

None

 

District Deputy Report:

Council has one new member for the year, needs 6 more. Show prospective new members that the Knights isn’t that big of a time commitment. Will be bringing new information to January meeting based on knowledge from Mid-Winter meeting. Wished everyone a Merry Christmas.

 

Unfinished Business:

Big Breakfast will resume in January on the 9th. Altar Server of the Month is still on the agenda and being worked on, will be awarding gift cards. Still working on putting together aluminum recycling trailer. Look to emails or the Grand Knight for info on ordering council shirt.

 

New Business:

We will be looking to clean up council shed on January 8th at 10am. Office Manager Kathy asked if council would like to send anyone to Diocese Gala on April 23 as KofC representative for the parish (has two extra seats); Bob Garity and his wife will be taking the spot. Keep Christ in Christmas magnets were made available. Will ask if any assistance is needed for giving tree. Will look into possibility of starting Columbiettes for the council. March 4th will be first Fish Fry, will begin planning that with Fr Hector.
