Fr Hector didn’t have anything prepared.

 

Grand Knight Report:

May Big Breakfast was great success with many guests and help. State Convention occurred, which included kids’ pizza party. Fraternal benefits night took place on June 3rd. Special Olympics is taking place right now. Festa Junina is coming up June 25. Committee chairman will be filling out SP7.

 

Bills and Communication:

Thank you note from MOPS for council donation. Thank you note from confirmation kids for bibles. Thank you note from KofC supreme for efforts in raising $1000 for Ukraine.

 

Membership Report:

Have a couple new leads. Spoke with other Grand Knights and DGKs at convention and got some ideas for new events.

Fourth Degree Report:

Will be doing a celebration for Blessed Ramza feast day in November. Virtual 4th Degree June 18th 11am at St Nicholas church, there will be another in November. Will have Christmas dinner at Sleuth’s in December, open to all members, not just 4th Degree.

 

Insurance Agent Report:

June 15 fraternal benefits virtual seminar with Ed Slott, America’s IRA Expert. Looking to hire 5 field agents in Florida.

 

District Deputy Report:

No councils in district will make Star Council. There is push for each council to get two new members by end of fraternal year. Per capita bill should drop. Council’s treasurer’s books have been inspected, need to see financial secretary’s. Silver rose program will be in Orlando diocese for 5 days, looking to host it here at 11189/Resurrection.

 

Unfinished Business:

Fr Hector asked for help with facilitating parking and trash collection at June 25th Brazilian festival 2:30pm-11:30pm. Church is in need of handy man. July 4th meeting will be moved to July 18th, September meeting will be moved to September 19th.

 

New Business:

Will look back into aluminum recycling bin. Raffle tickets for grand prize of $25,000, each ticket is $5, asking members to take a book and sell. Council is looking to host Silver Rose first week of August, proposal was sent to Fr Hector and approved, will put in request.

 

Lecturer’s Reflection:

Paid honor to veterans of Normandy Invasion.

 

Prayers Offered:

William Seay and all RCIA candidates, Reed Maupin (DJ’s niece), Vince Samosky, MOPS group and all mothers, Carmen Pauguette, Kathy Matthews, Fr Noe, members of the armed forces who lost their life on June 6, 1944.
