Chaplain’s Message:

None

 

Grand Knight Report:

Welcome newest member Christian, introduced himself; fraternal benefit night occurred and we met our quota; state raffle tickets should be turned back in; bocce tournament is on hold currently; trilingual rosary for vocations is every Thursday morning; COR meeting is now first and third Thursday of each month; confirmed the fish frys for all of Lent, starting 2/20, will look to put money towards capital campaign; ladys’ group is working with Knights for sock hop on Feb 7; our council has been selected to host Silver Rose on march 4th, will coordinate with Knights on Bikes, looking for volunteers for readers at the mass

 

Bills and Communication:

$350 to supreme for per capita and Catholic advertising; $100 for Christian; and another for Christmas cards; received Christmas card/thank you note from lighthouse for the blind and from parishioner for serving breakfast at the retreat

 

Membership Report:

Currently have a couple hopeful new members and a couple potential transfers; looking to schedule another degree

 

Financial Secretary Report:

Owe $350 to supreme; membership quota is 7 and we have 12 (maybe 11); be sure to pick up membership card; we currently have extra rosaries for any members interested

 

Treasurer’s Report:

October Balance: $8,580.17

 

Program Director:

Starting fish frys next month (2/20), which are a lot of work, so we need a lot of volunteers, arrive around 2:00-2:30, food service 4:00-8:00; Sock Hop coming 2/7, will have the same menu as last year; breakfast at retreat went well, thank you to those who helped

 

Faith Director Report:

Three Kings Day Trilingual Mass, Tuesday, January 6 @ 7pm followed by parish gathering in Gleason Hall; Advent related events, including Immaculate Conception mass and dinner on the 8th, Our Lady of Guadalupe on the 12th, The Inn on the 13th, and Advent Retreat on the 20th went well; trilingual rosary weekly on Thursday after 8:00 mass; monthly Cor meeting

 

Community Director:

Victor is our new community director; Three Kings Day celebration is happening on 1/6 which will be followed by multi-cultural celebration in Gleason Hall; Ernest sent out Christmas cards to council, will look into locating those members whose cards were returned

 

Life Director:

Haven’t heard back from the Coalition life circle; Lake CI had 454 inmates encounters in 2025, looking for more volunteers; Exodus #20 at Lake CI is going to Feb 26-28, must be approved volunteer to participate in retreat, training begins Jan 24th, contact Mike if interested; Warriors to Laurence deadline is Jan 15, that can be submitted via website; breakfast for babies for JMJ pregnancy center encouraging parishes to host big breakfast on April 26, will probably host ours at/with St Andrews if they’re willing

 

Family Director Report:

Completed Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest, submitted two posters; next event will be Easter Egg hunt on 4/12

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Took Fr Sal out for lunch on 12/21 for Christmas and gave him his box of Omaha Steaks; January 31 is next 4th degree exemplification in Tampa at St Marks; Feb 28 is exemplification in St Augustine at Our Lady of La Leche, it will be held at night and outdoors (sight of first catholic mass held in USA)

 

Insurance Agent Report:

Marcello Catelan (239-287-9866) is our new insurance agent

 

District Deputy Report:

Just held mid-year meeting, introduced new programs, including Quinceañera, and one to celebrate elders; need to start thinking of convention delegates and alternates; upcoming 4th degree exemplifications; serving breakfast to the homeless first and second Saturday of the month is ongoing and going well, welcome all to volunteer and/or donate

 

Unfinished Business:

Winter Garden Christmas parade was success and we won Mayor’s Award; will continue to reach out to Fr Adriano about bringing back big breakfast or hosting other events

 

New Business:

Feb 14 is polar plunge, council voted to donate $100
