Grand Knight Report:

Thank you to George for conducting last meeting; thank you to council for helping with Silver Rose, four knights on bikes presented the rose from Jacksonville, Hank led the rosary, Phil did the reading, Dan Ferrence did slides, a corporate communion mass followed the Silver Rose service; thank you to incoming officers and looking forward to induction.

 

Bills and Communication:

Blessed Sacrament is celebrating 20th anniversary on November 19 5:00-6:00 hors d’oeuvres, 6-8 dinner w/ silent auction, contact Mike Crawford; J&J Gala will take place September 24, each table seats 10 and costs $500, they are also seeking volunteers; if we donate $500 to ASAP supreme will add $100.

 

Membership Report:

Have some potential new members, still trying to get them in.

 

Financial Secretary Report:

Bill from supreme for per capita advertising for $227; bill for $851 from state; dues are due, turning in $240.

 

Program Director:

Looking to start breakfast back up on September 11.

 

Faith Director Report:

Silver Rose service took place on July 30.

 

Community Director:

We will collect toiletries for veterans at September and October breakfasts to bring in November, American Legion November 12 walk at Veterans Park.

 

Life Director:

Still in need of life director.

 

Family Director Report:

Looking for children to volunteer to be on Christmas parades float; Christmas art contest coming up in future.

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Will have the Christmas dinner at Sleuth’s on December 21, open to all members, not just 4th Degree, all members invited, $50-$55; Ronald McDonald House returns on August 27.

 

Insurance Agent Report:

None

 

District Deputy Report:

By 9/1 upload the roster (done this morning); new officers need to be filled in online, safe environment training needs to be completed by 9/15; every activity is a recruiting opportunity; promoting online recruiting, eucharistic processions, holy hour; membership quote of 6 for the council this fraternal year; fraternal benefits form must be submitted by GK online within 7 days of event, with 7 different people at each event; must be safe environment compliant; membership director should speak at every meeting

 

Unfinished Business:

If any members have state raffle tickets to turn in, do so ASAP; back to school spaghetti dinner is officially happening September 2 5:00-8:00, arrive at 3:30 to help, September meeting is September 19, officer induction is October 15 at 3:00.

 

New Business:

$30 for dues; national adoption day event has been dissolved.
