Chaplain’s Message:
Parish is still understaffed (need maintenance employee), should have more priests for how many masses we have and Parish is growing in numbers, trying to improve usage of grass parking lot, church is ok financially, will be building road that connects property to Daniels Road, there are new groups and initiatives around the church that all members were encouraged to join
Grand Knight Report:
Sorry for tardiness; thank you to those who helped with fish fries; Easter Egg Hunt on April 16; April 26 7:30 fraternal benefits night; kids pizza party on May 27 as part of convention, need volunteers; encouraged membership, easy to do online
Bills and Communication:
Thank you notes from confirmation students for bibles; Scotty’s mother sent a donation for fish fries
Membership Report:
Incoming member (John) who needs to do online exemplification; a couple other potential members in the works
Financial Secretary Report:
Fish Fry went well, ~$2,900 in profit; check for $100 refund for support vocations program
Treasurer’s Report:
January Balance: $5,306.46
February Receipts: $385
March Expenses: $760
March Balance: $4,931.46
Program Director:
Summer will be on the quiet side; Mother’s day breakfast coming up on May 14, will need assistance
Faith Director Report:
Will do the decade of the Rosary after the May meeting outside at the Mary statue.
Community Director:
Wasn’t present but has events lined up, especially Ruck Walk.
Life Director:
Received emails thinking for donations for Laps For Life event on March 4 at Bishop Moore High School.
Family Director Report:
Youth Easter Egg Hunt on April 16, will need volunteers; kids pizza party at state convention.
Fourth Degree Report:
Ronald McDonald House will take place on April 22; encouraged all 4th Degree members to attend meeting next Monday for renewal of vows.
Insurance Agent Report:
Financial webinar on April 26 at 7:30; Steve Pomellow is still reaching out to introduce himself and meet with all the members.
District Deputy Report:
Weldon Watkins was present and encouraged all members to keep doing what they’re doing
Delegates need to register; State Raffle tickets need to be collected and sent in; council needs to submit $100 for convention ad; encouraged council to consider a wheelchair Sunday, in which the council presents the idea to the parish and takes in donations for wheelchairs (info on state website).
Unfinished Business:
Purchased the new standing kitchen mats
New Business:
May meeting will have decade of the rosary outside around Mary statue; $500 check for bibles for religious education motion passed; convention will has four past supreme officer, including Carl Anderson; motion passed to provide hotel accommodations for delegates to state convention, volunteers needed, sign up on website for Supreme Convention anonymous donor approached about giving indoor fryer that would work inside kitchen, would need approval from Father Heiter; encouraged members to attend Good Friday
Lecturer’s Reflection:
Easter Sunday is coming up, Jesus said those who believe in him will live forever, encouraged members to watch the movie “The Resurrection”
