Chaplain’s Message:

None

 

Grand Knight Report:

Thank you to those who joined for prayer service with St Joseph icon. Thank you to those who have worked on fish fries.

 

Membership Report:

Experienced online first-degree ceremony and it went smoothly. Now is the time to recruit new members.

 

Financial Secretary Report:

Council has $1,000 to submit for Ukraine relief fund. $87 from March big breakfast and $864 from fish fries so far.

 

 

Program Director:

Thank you for help with fish fries, one more to go, will need help. Will need someone to step up for May big breakfast as Hank will be gone.

 

 

Faith Director Report:

St Joseph icon prayer service went well, photo will be sent in next email. No new initiatives on the horizon.

 

Community Director:

Special Olympics in need for volunteers, https://www.specialolympicsflorida.org/get-involved/volunteer

 

Life Director:

Still in need of life director.

 

Family Director Report:

Easter Egg hunt on April 24, will need assistance with filling eggs (Friday evening April 22) and running event. Kids pizza party at state convention on Saturday, May 14 at Hyatt Regency off I-Drive, looking for help. Also accepting ideas for kids activities.

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Assembly got together for renewal of vows. Next dinner service at Ronald McDonald house will take place on May 14 at 4:30pm (5 people can volunteer). On April 24 there will be a 4th Degree at Bradenton. On June 18 there will be a virtual 4th Degree, see Hank to participate.

 

Insurance Agent Report:

Look for email with information on upcoming virtual fraternal benefits night on June 3rd.

 

District Deputy Report:

State Convention is approaching. It is time for recruitment, make sure we are recruiting those who want to be active members.

 

Unfinished Business:

Final Fish Fry is this Friday. Have business cards for anyone who needs council shirt.

 

New Business:

Kathy reached out asking if anyone knows how to change faucets, they need help in church bathrooms. Also needs help tightening church pews. Dates for each will be set and information will be sent out about those.

 

Lecturer’s Reflection:

Lady of Ukraine, Zarvaniza; in 1240 Mongols invaded Kyiv, destroying churches and monasteries causing many monks to flee. One monk escaped and had vision by a stream of the Virgin Mary, who left the icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus in her arms flashed with celestial brightness, he washed his wounds in the stream and his strength returned. In June 2001, Pope John Paul II prayed before this miraculous icon of the Holy Mother of Zarvanytsia.
