Chaplain’s Message:

Past Sunday was hallmark of church, Easter Sunday, celebrating resurrection of Christ after trying to get closer to him during Lent. We ask the Lord to always watch over us.

 

Grand Knight Report:

Happy Easter! Enjoy the 50 day season that is ahead of us. The council is experiencing its own resurrection after the year of the pandemic. KofC Founder’s Day was March 29th. Recognized Hank Abbott as the Knight of the Month for April 2021.

 

Membership Report:

Financial Secretary Report:

Fish Fry made $1,600 in profit.

 

Program Director:

None, encouraged to find assistant for position

Faith Director Report:

Stations of the cross went off successfully, encouraged to find assistant

 

Community Director:

Life Director:

Respect Life had 40 Days for Life at Planned Parenthood, praying for those considering abortion. Waiting to hear about speaking at State Convention.

 

Family Director Report:

Working on idea for Minecraft church creation competition. Have set up a server and will need to test idea to make sure everything operates smoothly and as intended. Will bring more information and examples to May meeting. Anyone is welcome to offer ideas and assistance.

Kids pizza party will be held on May 29, 6-9, if you want to help, must pass safe training.

 

Fourth Degree Report:

Fourth degree ceremony held online. Activities are still on hold. Been sending donations to Ronald McDonald House.

 

Insurance Agent Report:

District Deputy Report:

State Convention is coming up. Opening Ceremony mass is 10-11 on Friday, which will be followed by a degree ceremony. Laps For Life, $275 from Council 11189. First annual vocation ride will start from South Florida, heading North, beginning Thursday, April 8. Charlie Miller is retiring from the position, beginning July.

 

Unfinished Business:

Remind everyone of the online volunteer log. State raffle is still ongoing, if interested in tickets, contact Scotty, and get any tickets and money back to Scotty by May 1. The extra copies of I Heard God Laugh have been passed out to the parish community, and those who received them have provided positive feedback. If any brother knights haven’t received the book to please see Deacon Fred to get their copy.

 

New Business:

We will be looking into having an in-person degree ceremony at the church, Scotty will be discussing this with Fr. Carlos.
